Atomoo Launches Unified Communications Solution at EHX Spring 2008

The biggest change in the way consumers use their home telephone is happening now. Atomoo announces the upcoming National launch of it's VoIP Home suite of telephony products and services. VoIP Home lets home owners replace their current telephone systems with one that brings the "home phone" into the 21st century with a variety of capabilities including visual voice mail, remote site extensions, follow me and virtually unlimited voice mail boxes.

“VoIP Home's open source, standards-based technology replaces antiquated telephone systems with a more flexible system,” states Jay Uhlinger, Atomoo's CTO. "VoIP in general, and our VoIP Home offering in particular throws out the old paradigm of a home phone line and turns your home phone into a gateway for managing the way people actually communicate with each other,” continues Uhlinger. VoIP Home unifies telephony, email, text messaging and mobile devices into a single point of contact that is sophisticated enough to know how someone wants to be contacted at a given time.

VoIP Home gives Integrators and Installers a better option than the proprietary, closed architecture systems that currently are their only choice for a home phone system,” states Atomoo's CEO Brian Post, a veteran of the Custom Integration market. “By leveraging the network backbone in today's "Connected Home" Atomoo can provide a VoIP Unified Communications solution combined with a managed services support plan,” continues Post.

VoIP Home is built upon the proven open source Asterisk platform, and works with VoIP phones from vendors such as Cisco, Polycom, Astra, Snom and Linksys as well as any current analog, wireless phone or wi-fi phone such as the Apple iPhone.
