“I want to know when a client’s home needs service before they do. System monitoring gives us immediate knowledge of a component failure and in some cases the ability to fix the problem remotely. This is a significant advance in a business where service is everything.”
Ken Johnson, President of Premiere Systems
I just want it to work!

Atomoo is the first and only recurring revenue opportunity for the Custom Integrator.
The Problem
Coming from an award winning Integrator, LouisClark, and as CEDIA Certified Instructors, we understand the problem first hand. The present “break-fix” process leaves the homeowner frustrated, who “Just wants their systems to work!” and the Integrator loosing money on service calls. The Problem Today: It is Friday afternoon and Mr. Stickler calls his systems integrator and states “nothing is working and it has not been working all week and I have a party Sunday with 40 guests coming over.” The integration company schedules a service call, if possible that Friday or pays for a weekend service call. Only knowing that the homeowner stated the system does not work, the service tech arrives onsite somewhat blind to the problem and not even sure the problem can be resolved at that time. The tech arrives, surveys the problem and begins to diagnose. After an hour of not getting the system working, he realizes that a wireless access point has lost power, rendering the touch panel useless and the system non-functioning. Lets look at the cost quickly for this service call: 1 ½ hours later ($185.00), one tech ($180.00), one truck roll ($55.00) total cost of the service call $420.00 and one upset customer. This is the present “Break-fix” business model of today’s integrator.
The Solution
The Solution Tomorrow: Lets look at the same scenario with our ManagedHome server at the clients location. The integrator arrives to work Tuesday morning and checks his e-mail. He notices a notification that the wireless access point at the Stickler Residence is off-line, and further detail shows the wireless touch panel is off-line, meaning the system is non-functioning. From the dashboard, the integrator logs-in remotely into the clients server and reboots the system, resetting the wireless connection. The dashboard is refreshed and status all green, the wireless access point is responding and the wireless touch panel is back online. No call from a frustrated homeowner, no truck roll, no loss from a service call, one happy client (Priceless). At the end of the month, the integrator sends the client a monthly report that shows there was an issue with the wireless access point and touch panel and that they were fixed and the system is back up and running. The solution for tomorrow is a “pro-active” solution.
Atomoo provides the toolset, in the form of a hardware, software and service combination called ManagedHome, that allows the Integrator to “pro-actively” monitor the status, 24x7, of the devices within the home, while creating a recurring revenue stream.
What Can We Monitor?
Any IP device can be monitored, even some non-IP devices using additional hardware. The amount of information received from each device varies and this is where our Intellectual Property comes into play. Our Intellectual Property resides in the templates that take the data from a device and put it into a single dashboard that makes it easy for an Integrator to monitor hundreds of devices from hundreds of clients. Cable/DSL modems, routers, printers, laptops, PC’s, hard drives, cable boxes, thermostats, music servers, touch panels, control systems are just some of the common devices we can monitor. As more and more devices are built with Ethernet ports, we will have the ability to monitor devices such as flat panel TV’s, refrigerators, and washing machines.
